I started Seekersnews a few years ago for one simple reason: I was tired of seeing talented Nigerians send out hundreds of remote job applications and get absolutely nothing back.
I know that frustration personally.
In 2024, I spent nine months applying for remote roles. I tried Upwork, LinkedIn, and every Facebook group I could find. I got two interviews. Both ghosted me.
The problem wasn’t my skills. It was that I was using the wrong platforms, the wrong application methods, and the wrong payment systems.
When I finally figured it out — switching to niche job boards, fixing my application strategy, and learning how to receive dollars without losing half to fees — everything changed.
I went from zero to a consistent $2,500–$3,800 per month working remotely for a US-based company.
